Alaska Air Guard

Nearly 1,900 Alaskans serve as members of the Air National Guard. The Alaska Air Guard
Headquarters is located at Camp Denali in Anchorage. The 176th Wing, 176th Air Control Warning
Squadron, and the 144th Airlift Squadron are located at Elmendorf AFB. Eielson AFB, 23 miles
south of Fairbanks, is home to the 168th Air Refueling Wing and the 210th Rescue Squadron. Clear
Air Station, the 213th Space Warning Squadron is located approximately 70 miles from Fairbanks.
Each mission is unique. With the exception of Headquarters and Clear Air Station, each of the
operational units are gained by the Pacific Air Forces.
