176th Wing

The 176th Wing is
located in Anchorage at
the Ted Stevens
International Airport, in
the Great State of
Alaska. Alaska has been
considered "America's
Last Frontier". The
Alaska Air Guard
consists of 8 different
units, 176th Wing, 144th
AS, 249th AS (C-17),
210th RQS (HH60), 211th
RQS (HC130), 212th RQS
(PJ's), DET 1, located in
Fairbanks, and the 176th
ACS. The combined
Rescue Squadrons are
considered one of the
busiest Air Force
Pararescue units in the
business today. We are
Guarding America and
Defending Freedom for
All.
